COUNTRIES I'VE BEEN TO: BELGIUM - DENMARK - FRANCE - GERMANY - HOLLAND - MEXICO
a little more about each place....
ARIZONA- I've been to Arizona about 8 times now. I went once for a baseball game between the Dodgers and D'backs at Bank One Ballpark. I also went for spring training one year with my dad and his brohter. Also, I've been to Yuma, Arizona about 6 times because it is the end of our Boy Scout river trip down the Colorado River.
CALIFORNIA- Born in Pasadena. Went to school in Arcadia. Go to school in San Diego. Have cousins as far north as Eureka. Been everywhere in between and then some. Enough said.
COLORAD- Well I went here in the summer of 2002 with my family for the Clark's son's wedding in Gunnison & Crested Butte. Let me tell you it was a blast! I love Colorado and it is so beautiful there. I would honestly seriously consider moving there. (Only thing holding me back of yet is snow). Some fun stuff we got to do here was go to a "country wedding", go bar hopping, and see the post picturesque scenery in the country. I am definately making a return trip.
CONNECTICUT- This one was on accident. When my dad and I were driving to Cooperstown he took a wrong turn on the freeway and we ended up 15 minutes into Connecticut. Well update on this state... I took a train ride through it this summer so I've seen more of it now.
FLORIDA- I've gone to Florida 3 times now. The first time I went was in 7th grade with my dad and his brohter to attend spring training. We have repeated the trip 3 times now, last time being the spring of 2001 and my great Aunt and Uncle - Amy & Jack - live in West Palm Beach.
GEORIGA- Ok I guess this one is kinda cheating, but I've been through the Atlanta airport twice now i think coming back from Europe.
HAWAII- I've been to Hawaii twice. The first time was when I was 9 months old. Then again when I was 17. We have a condo on Maui so we plan on going about once everyother year now or more.
ILLINOIS- Ok, another cheater. Plane change.
MASSACHUSETTS- Well I was in Boston this past August for a few days and it was amazing! I got to visit my friend Ayako at Tufts University and had a blast. We got to go all over Boston and see The Commons and got to watch a ball game at Fenway! Boston is an amazingly alive town and I can't wait to go visit again.
NEVADA- I've been to Laughlin once to jet ski, and another time just overnight with my family. I've been to Vegas once also.
NEW MEXICO- I was only in New Mexico for about 5 minutes, but it was cool, because I got to accomplish something I've always wanted to do and that was visit the 4 corners, even if it was 106 degrees out.
NEW YORK- Start spreadin' the news.... Ha ha. I've been to New York so many times by now that I've lost track. I have a lot of family there because that is where my dad grew up. Things I've done there include a Yankee game, a broadway production, Cooperstown, and staying at a summer home in the Hamptons. I can now add a visit to the Met Museum and Planting Fields as well.
OHIO- Again, plane change.
PENNSYLVANIA- I've been here twice to visit my Aunt and Uncle (Marilyn & Charlie). Once we went to a Pirates game at Three Rivers Stadium and another time a Steelers Monday Night Football Game. We also saw fireworks at "The Point" for the 4th of July and ate at the Heinz Ketchup Restaurant.
RHODE ISLAND- My sophmore year in high school I went to stay with my cousin Darren for one week at Brown University to get the college experience. It was a blast!
TEXAS- More plane changes.
UTAH- I never knew our country had such beautiful and unique scenery. The pictures of Bryce, Zion, Moab , and Gouldings do not do these places justice. Our family stayed in these national parks and hiked through rivers, climbed rocks, and rode horses. I always thought Utah would be rather drab, but it too was amazingly beautiful.
WASHINGTON D.C.- This was where I had the L'Taken Seminar my junior year in high school. It was a lot of fun and I got to meet my good friend Carly here.
VIRGINIA- The hotel we stayed at for the L'Taken Seminar was across the river in Alexandria, Virginia. I got to tour around there a bit and we got caught throwing stuff out the window of our hotel room, though i swear it wasnt me ;).
pas les Etats Unis...
BELGIUM- I've been to Belgium now three times. That is where one of my grandmothers is from so we have a ton of family there. The first two times was with my family and this past time (summer 2001) I went alone. It is always a great time though I eat way too much food.
DENMARK- I've only been here once on our motor home tour of Europe during the hottest summer in 100 years. And it had no a/c and we couldn't open the windows. (But that is another story). Denmark had these really cool beaches that went out over 100 yards while you could still stand.
FRANCE- I've been to France now twice. The first time was with all my cousins from Belgium as we took a bus into Paris. This last time (again summer 2001) I went and stayed with my adopted family in France, the Wiesenfelds, and we toured France. I had a great time. I got to see the Tour de France, Normandy, the Mediterranean Sea, and even met Denzel Washington on the streets of Paris.
GERMANY- Germany was another country we drove through on our rides through Europe in the motor home. I was young at the time and one thing I remember was this one hotel we stopped at (my great aunt and uncle slept in hotels while we stayed in the van) was that there were Playboy magazines just sitting on the coffee table. And well I was a curious 11 year old :) heh heh.
HOLLAND- Another stop along our drive through Europe. It had a great national park we stopped at and we stopped at McDonalds where my mom talked to the manager and got a pin. I remember the milk shakes there were the best I've ever tasted.
MEXICO- I've been to Mexico twice, though never to TJ. I've been to Acapulco at Club Med there when I was young. I think that my roomate Joe was there too, but we are trying to figure that one out still. Also, when I was 14 my family and my cousin and his family from NY went to Cancun. It was a blast. We rode jet skis, layed around the pool all day, went out to neat places at night. It was a really fun time.
well those are all the places i've been to now, but don't worry more adventures to come...
